The Cooking Clinic is an opportunity for children to explore My Plate, their personal calorie intake, family food budgeting, serving size, serving cost and food preparation. Participants will work on skills and requirements needed to complete a successful 4-H cooking project! What judges are looking for and how to be competitive. Various skills will be implemented through activities: calculating price per serving, budgeting, calorie cost vs. activity, measuring liquids and dry goods, food group percentages, healthy choices and more.
